Alamance County Speeding Ticket Lawyer

Hi.  My name is Eb Rossi, and I’ve been representing people who get speeding tickets in Alamance County District Court for the past 15 years.  During that time I have personally represented over 9,000 motorists with just one goal: to reduce or eliminate the imposition of insurance points. In fact, that goal is so important that we prominently state it in every contract.

If you’ve received a speeding ticket in Alamance County you have to know that we historically been one of the harder counties in the piedmont triad in which to resolve a speeding ticket. This was by design. While the counties that surrounded us routinely gave people an opportunity to plead to non moving violations (improper equipment), a former District Attorney stated his policy something like this, “the only thing improper is their right foot.” The quote may be a little off, but the intended sentiment is not. He took the position that people who speed should pay higher insurance rates. Accordingly, he was not going to let people plead to improper equipment.

Things have now changed in the county, but most of  our District Court Judges still continue to limit their own discretion, refusing to grant a pjc (another form of relief) in cases where the officer alleges that the motorist was speeding more than 20 miles per hour over the speed limit. (The law actually allows judges to grant that relief in cases up to 25 miles per hour over the speed limit)

What this all means is that you have to know our forum.  Be careful. Not knowing your forum means you may not get the best deal.  Finally, you should also bear in mind that neither the D.A. nor the judge can give you legal advice.
